LSOD 60th Anniversary Recipe Book
As Part of our 60th Anniversary Celebration of the Lathrop School of Dance, we are putting together an LSOD Cookbook of recipes from past & present students. Many generations have passed thru the Edmond Town Hall doors, some starting at the age of 2 and now have their own children & grandchildren doing the same. Mack & Ginny Lathrop sure created a Newtown Tradition.
Below please find a recipe form below (both email and downloadable) for you to use. Fill it out and click send or download & return to class no later than Feb 29th. You may pre- order your cookbook(s) or purchase them starting Friday June 1st at the "60th Stardust Revue". Proceeds from the cookbook will benefit the Edmond Town Hall Theatre Fund. Please help by passing this recipe form along to past students - the more the merrier:)

Recipe: M&M Cookies
From the kitchen of: Ruth Schmidt
Serves: Makes about 5 dozen cookies
Original Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe- except use M&M's instead of Chocolate Chips
Preheat oven to 375
| 2 ¼ C flour | ¾ granulated sugar | 1 tsp. Baking soda |
| ¾ packed brown sugar | 1 tsp. Salt | 1 tsp. Vanilla |
| 1 C (2 sticks butter) softened | 2 Large eggs | 2 C M & M's |
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl. Beat butter, sugar and vanilla until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in M & M's and drop by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool & Enjoy!
A Stardust Memory: Stardusters, I bet you remember my Mom always made us these cookies for the recital, when we were kids.
